I came, I saw......
I so did not conquer 45 games at Causeway Scrabble Challenge.
It was not much of a help that I had a constant throbbing pain on the right side of my head between the ear and the temple (which Harshan helpfully diagnose as a infection in the middle ear; Thanks Harshan). Not to mention a full blown infection on saturday night of all things (Thanks Tony for the panadol).
All in all, 23 wins out of 44 games (would have gotten 1 more if one player didn't drop out, I gave him a whalloping). Was very happy to safely tread water after staying below the waterline in the initial part of the tournament. Managed to get into the top half, not quite happy with the spread but what do you do when Nigel pulverizes you and you can only win the rest of you games without whalloping anybody. Gave away 2 games to Theresa and Alpha (love that rhyme), Theresa game was a magnificent comeback on her part and Alpha game I blame it on lack of endgame sticky experience.
After one good day of rest back home, I am now 80% recovered. Also managed to entertain Chris, Edward and Helen to mamak and their favourite Ice Horlick. The only things that give them jitters throughout supper has a tail and runs on all four legs.
PS: for those who want to know. Tony Sim and Toh Weibin split 80% of the Roto while Tony's other entry netted him the remaining 10%. The last 10% went into toll charges.
